I really enjoy living in Exeter, especially the mix between countryside and city. Often if the weather is good there are really nice sunsets and you can go to the top of the hill to watch them.

At the same time the city centre is very modern with lots of shops and things to do. I like that the whole city is very new and modern as well as the campus.

As an international student from Hong Kong, I found Exeter really welcoming.

The University of Exeter has a fantastic astrophysics department, full of leading experts, and access to some brilliant technology. It’s really exciting to know you’re learning from some of the world’s experts in a field that you’re studying and that you’re so passionate about.

lecturers are always happy for students to come to them with questions they may have – whether this be through email or through workshops that get put on. There’s always support if you need it, whether that be from your lecturers, tutor, or the Wellbeing department.

As an international student I definitely felt welcomed and this wasn’t a problem for me. I’m pretty outgoing so found it fairly easy to make friends and made a lot of friends across the years and across the two universities which was really nice.

I really liked sharing the campus with Falmouth University as having the two universities there gives a different feeling and you get to mix with different people that you may not have met otherwise.
